Southwest Airlines Offers Great Get-Away Fares for Fall

Southwest Airlines today announced a special $59 one-way fare on the airline's new nonstop service between Ft.Lauderdale and New Orleans and between Indianapolis and Kansas City. The airline also announced a special $99 one-way fare for new nonstop service between Kansas City and San Diego, Manchester and Kansas City, Baltimore/ Washington and Las Vegas, Houston and Providence, and New Orleans and Los Angeles. The new service begins August 5, 1999.

"How can our Customers pass up these great fares? For example, for $59 our New Orleans Customers will take advantage of a quick trip to Ft.Lauderdale to enjoy South Florida," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's vice president of marketing. "We hope that for $99, our Houston Customers will get to Providence to see the awesome fall colors."

These fares are available by calling Southwest Airlines at (800) 435-9792, visiting Southwest's Web site at www.southwest.com, or by consulting a professional travel agent.

These fares are good on nonstop flights only, for travel through October 29, 1999. Fares are available for purchase until July 9, 1999. Fares must be purchased within one day of making reservations. No overnight stay is required, and the fare is combinable with all other Southwest fares. Seats are limited and might not be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods. While tickets are nonrefundable, they may, if unused, be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are subject to change until ticketed, and do not include a segment fee of up to $2.25 each way and airport taxes of $3 each way.
