Get Out of Texas - For $99 or Less - On Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines is offering Texans a big deal at a little price: $99 or less one-way to any scheduled destination from a Lone Star city. The special fare, which excludes travel to and from Dallas Love Field, is good for travel to and from the other ten Texas airports served by Southwest Airlines.

"Texans will be surprised at how many destinations Southwest Airlines offers—for $99 or less one-way," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's vice president of marketing. "And spring is a wonderful time to get out of the great state to discover the rest of America."

The offer is valid for roundtrip travel, and an overnight stay is required. Seats are limited and will not be available on some flights that operate during peak travel times. The offer is not available for travel to or from Florida between March 12 and April 12. Tickets must be purchased by February 9 and travel is available through June 3, 1999. Tickets must be purchased within one day of making reservations and at least seven days in advance of travel. Tickets are nonrefundable, but if unused, may be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are subject to change until ticketed, and any change in itinerary may result in an increase in fare. Fare does not include airport taxes of $3 to $12 roundtrip nor a $2 federal excise tax assessed for each segment flown.

For $99 or less, Southwest Airlines Customers can fly from Amarillo, Austin, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Houston's Hobby Airport, Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Lubbock, Midland, San Antonio, or South Padre Island (Harlingen) to any published destination on the entire Southwest Airlines route system.

Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV), the fifth largest domestic carrier in terms of Customers boarded, currently serves 52 cities in 26 states. Based in Dallas, Southwest currently operates more than 2,350 flights a day with a fleet of 280 Boeing 737s with an average age of 8.4 years--one of the youngest pure jet fleets in the domestic airline industry.
