Southwest Airlines Offers Sizzlin' Summer Deal

Southwest Airlines today announced a $99 one-way fare for Customers traveling on the airline's new nonstop roundtrip flight between Tampa Bay and Kansas City.

"When the new service starts on June 6, we want Customers to jump start their summer travel with this irresistible low fare," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's vice president of marketing. "This is a really hot deal for travelers."

These fares are available by calling Southwest Airlines at (800) 435-9792, visiting Southwest's Web site at www.southwest.com, or by consulting a professional travel agent.

The $99 fare is good for travel through October 29, 1999 on nonstop flights only. Fares are available for purchase until May 21, 1999. Fares must be purchased within one day of making reservations and reservations must be booked at least seven days in advance of travel. No overnight stay is required, and the fare is combinable with all other Southwest fares. Seats are limited and won't be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods. While tickets are nonrefundable, they may, if unused, be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are subject to change until ticketed, and do not include a segment fee of up to $2.25 each way and airport taxes of $3 each way.
