Southwest Airlines Adds New Nonstop Service

Southwest Airlines today announced it is adding new Saturday-only nonstop service between Orlando and Phoenix on April 10, 1999. This new service will be available for travel through June 5, 1999.

The addition of the Saturday-only nonstop service between Orlando and Phoenix also creates same plane, one-stop service from Orlando to Burbank, Calif.

"This new one stop service gives our Customers yet another coast-to-coast, low fare travel option," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest’s vice president of marketing.

The schedules are as follows:

1375 4:40 p.m. 6:40 p.m.

The seven-day advance purchase fare for this new Saturday-only nonstop service between Orlando and Phoenix is $214 each way, based on roundtrip purchase. Some restrictions apply, including a required overnight stay.

During the same period, Southwest will offer a second Saturday nonstop departure from Orlando to both Austin and San Antonio. During the rest of the week, Southwest offers a single, daily nonstop flight from Orlando to both Austin and San Antonio.
