Southwest Airlines Names New Station Manager for Baltimore/Washington
Southwest Airlines recently named Matt Hafner as the new station manager for its operations at Baltimore/Washington International Airport. As station manager, Hafner will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of all flight activities in Baltimore.
"I look forward to working with a great team as our operations at Baltimore/Washington International Airport continue to grow," said Hafner.
Hafner, an Austin, Texas native, joined the Southwest family in 1988 as a Ramp Agent in Dallas. During his tenure with Southwest, Hafner has held the positions of Customer Service Agent, Customer Service Supervisor, and Operations Supervisor in Dallas and in Oakland. He also has served as a Manager of Ramp and Operations in Salt Lake City and station manager in both Jackson and Birmingham. Most recently, Hafner served as the assistant station manager in Oakland.
In addition to completing Southwest's Manager In Training program, Hafner's 12 years of experience are complemented by being honored with Southwest's Winning Spirit Award.

Southwest currently operates 110 daily nonstop departures from Baltimore/Washington International Airport with direct or connecting service to 25 cities. Baltimore/Washington is Southwest's eighth busiest airport in terms of daily departures.
