“I'm very excited for the chance to be in a new station and to learn something new,” said Tibbs, a Western Michigan alumnus. “It's really a dream come true.”
Tibbs, a Detroit native, began her career with Southwest Airlines in 1987 as a Customer Service Agent in Detroit. During her tenure with the company, she has served as Customer Service Supervisor in Detroit, Customer Service Supervisor in Jacksonville, Manager of Customer Service in Chicago, and most recently as Manager of Customer Service in Orlando, where she lives with her three children.

Since joining Southwest, Tibbs has been Agent of the Quarter in Detroit, Supervisor of the Quarter in Jacksonville, and a Manager in Training Level II graduate in 2003. The Manager in Training program is a course designed to prepare individuals for Southwest leadership roles.

“Lisa embodies the ultimate leadership traits that we look for at Southwest Airlines,” said Matt Buckley, Southwest's senior director of ground operations. “Our Employees and Customers in West Palm Beach could not be in better hands.”

From West Palm Beach International Airport, Southwest currently offers 11 daily nonstop departures to four cities including Baltimore/Washington, Long Island/Islip, Philadelphia, and Tampa Bay with additional direct or connecting service to 14 cities.
