Southwest Airlines Names New Station Manager In Ontario, California

Southwest Airlines recently announced Cheryl Black as the new station manager for its operations at Ontario International Airport. In her new position, Black will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of all flight activities in Ontario.

"I am excited about returning to Ontario and thrilled to rejoin the station's enthusiastic Employees," says Black. "I look forward to helping Southwest maintain excellent service levels at Ontario International."

Black joined the Southwest team in 1993 as an Ontario Customer Service Agent. Since that time, she has worked in Ontario as a Customer Service Supervisor and as Manager of Customer Service. Her most recent position was Manager of Customer Service at Los Angeles International Airport.

Black also is a graduate of Southwest's Manager in Training program, a course designed to help prepare individuals for Southwest leadership roles.

"We look forward to working with Cheryl in her new position and know that with her job knowledge she will be a great addition to the Ontario management staff," said Mike Hunter, senior director of ground operations.

Southwest Airlines operates in Ontario with 55 daily nonstop departures to Las Vegas, Nashville, Oakland, Phoenix, Sacramento, and San Jose. Southwest employs 199 people in Ontario and more than 30,000 Employees nationwide.
