Southwest Airlines Offers Cure For "Lazy Days of Summer"

Airline Offers $99 Fares on Two New Nonstop Routes

Southwest Airlines today announced a special $99 one-way fare for Customers traveling on the airline's new nonstop roundtrip flights between Chicago Midway Airport and Las Vegas and between Albuquerque and Seattle.

"Our first nonstop flights between these cities kick off July 6, and we think our Customers will love these hot fares," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's vice president of marketing.

These fares are available by calling Southwest Airlines at (800) 435-9792, visiting Southwest's Web site at www.southwest.com, or by consulting a professional travel agent.

The $99 fare is good on nonstop flights only, for travel through October 29, 1999. Fares are available for purchase until June 25, 1999. Fares must be purchased within one day of making reservations. No overnight stay is required, and the fare is combinable with all other Southwest fares. Seats are limited and might not be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods. While tickets are nonrefundable, they may, if unused, be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are subject to change until ticketed, and do not include a segment fee of up to $2.25 each way and airport taxes of $3 each way.
