Steve West serves as the Vice President Network Operations Control (NOC) at Southwest Airlines. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing Southwest's world-class operations center, which is central in making critical decisions around-the-clock regarding the airline's network operations. Steve and his Team are dedicated to upholding the core principles of safe and reliable operations at Southwest Airlines, which serve as their guiding philosophy.

The NOC is comprised of more than 800 Employees from various operational Teams, including Dispatch, Meteorology, and NOC Customer Planners. Steve is passionate about fostering Team and Leadership development and takes pride in witnessing his Team Members flourish.

Steve's journey with Southwest Airlines began in 1983 in Ground Operations, where he worked for 10 years. He then transitioned to Dispatch, marking the beginning of his Leadership journey. Over the years, Steve has held various positions over the years, including Dispatcher, Chief of Dispatch, Director of Dispatch, Senior Director of OCC, Network Director, Managing Director NOC. Steve is a recipient of the Southwest Airlines President's Award, which is one of the highest individual honors at Southwest, and he holds an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.

Away from work, Steve cherishes spending time with his wife, Julie, and their two grown children, Bridges and Desmond. During their leisure time, Steve and Julie indulge their passion for travel, frequently exploring exotic beach destinations. They also share an affinity for live music events and NYC Broadway Theater productions.
