Brook Sorem

Brook Sorem is responsible for the collaborative development of the Company's strategic network plans including identifying new markets and geographies, developing airline partnerships, and initiatives to generate revenue and reduce costs. His Teams are responsible for crafting and publishing of schedules aligned to those plans maximizing aircraft efficiencies. 

Since joining Southwest Airlines in 1990, Brook has spent more than 30 years in Network Planning, supporting every function within the department helping to create and refine innovative solutions to address complex industry challenges. His collaborative approach to developing practical solutions to substantial challenges has allowed him to build strong relationships across the Company.  

Volunteering and giving back to the community is very important to Brook. He has served on various committees in his local congregation, summer mission trips, and other functions, and with local public school programs and activities. He has also volunteered with Cub Scout Pack 817, Ronald McDonald House, Special Olympics of Texas, and Habitat for Humanity.  

Brook holds bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration-finance from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is married to Brenda, and together they are proud parents of Garrett, a music education major at Sam Houston State University, and Austin, a sports management major at the University of Oklahoma. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and traveling. It is a good bet if they aren't in North Texas, you will find Brook and Brenda somewhere near Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada, or with a mountain in the background.
