Southwest Airlines Names New Marketing Manager For Orlando

Southwest Airlines named Patrick Byerly as the new Area Marketing Manager for the Company's marketing efforts in Orlando. His responsibilities will include special promotions, media relations, corporate sales, and community relations.

"The Orlando Area Marketing Manager position is an excellent opportunity for me to display my Southwest SPIRIT and to communicate my knowledge of the daily operations that make Southwest the best airline in the industry," said Byerly. "I look forward to all the new challenges that are ahead as well as working with everyone in the Orlando community."

Byerly joined the Southwest family in 1995 as a Customer Service Agent at Dallas Love Field. In April 1996, Byerly opened the Orlando station as a Customer Service Agent. In 1997, he became a flight attendant based in Chicago Midway. Most recently, Byerly was an inflight supervisor in Oakland.

"Patrick's enthusiasm, energy, and leadership will be a great asset to Orlando," said Tammy Otero, Southwest's district marketing manager for Orlando.

Southwest currently operates 45 daily nonstop departures from Orlando to Albuquerque, Austin, Baltimore/Washington, Birmingham, Chicago Midway, Columbus, Ft. Lauderdale, Hartford/Springfield, Indianapolis, Jackson, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Long Island/Islip, Louisville, Manchester, Nashville, New Orleans, Phoenix, Providence, Raleigh-Durham, St. Louis, San Antonio, and Albany (service begins May 7, 2000).
