Southwest Airlines Names New Station Manager for Dallas Love Field

Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) recently named Bruce Ryan as the new station manager for the Company's operations at Dallas Love Field. In his new position, Ryan will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of all flight activities in Dallas.

Like many other Southwest Employees, Ryan has successfully climbed the professional ladder at Southwest Airlines. Ryan joined the Southwest family in 1982 as a ramp agent in Oklahoma City. During his tenure at Southwest Airlines, Ryan gained experience in many facets of the airline industry working at several airports. The rungs on Ryan's professional ladder include Operations Agent, Operations Supervisor, Training Coordinator, Customer Service Supervisor, Customer Service Manager, Assistant Station Manager, and Interim Station Manager. He has worked in Oklahoma City, Reno, Kansas City, Houston, Little Rock, and Jacksonville. Ryan most recently served as station manager at New Orleans International Airport.

In addition to his nine years of leadership experience, Ryan is a graduate of Southwest's management in training program. This is a course designed to help prepare individuals for Southwest leadership roles.

"We feel Bruce is a perfect fit for the Dallas team," said Art Allison, Southwest's Dallas regional director of ground operations and former Dallas station manager. "Dallas Love Field is fortunate to acquire such a great addition to its management staff."

Dallas Love Field is Southwest's fourth busiest airport in terms of daily departures. Southwest Airlines currently operates 139 daily nonstop departures from Dallas Love Field to Albuquerque, Amarillo, Austin, El Paso, Houston Hobby, Houston Intercontinental, Little Rock, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Rio Grande Valley (Harlingen), San Antonio, and Tulsa.
