Cool Off with Travel on Southwest Airlines for $99 or Less

For $99 or less each way, based on roundtrip purchase, travelers can go from Providence to Los Angeles, Albuquerque to Orlando, Baltimore/Washington to Oakland, Houston to Seattle, or Chicago to Phoenix, just to name a few.

"With these low fares, travelers can celebrate going back to school or, in the fall, attend a football game in the city where their favorite team is playing," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's vice president of marketing. "At Southwest Airlines, we give Customers what they ask for--affordable travel."

The following examples are based on roundtrip purchase: Austin to Las Vegas for $99 each way; Phoenix to San Diego for $39 each way; St. Louis to Tampa for $99 each way; Nashville to San Diego for $99 each way; Providence to Kansas City for $99 each way; Cleveland to Chicago Midway for $39 each way; Houston to New Orleans for $49 each way; and Kansas City to Los Angeles for $99 each way.

These fares are available for purchase until Aug. 13, with travel good from Aug. 25 through Dec. 17, 1998. At least a one-night stayover is required. Tickets must be purchased within one day of making a reservation. While tickets are nonrefundable, they may, if unused, be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Seats are limited and will not be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times such as the Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day holiday periods.

Fares do not include airport-assessed taxes of up to $12 roundtrip.
