Final Summary and Action Plan re: December Operational Disruption
We've committed to keeping our stakeholders updated on our lessons learned from the operational disruption we experienced last December, as well as our path forward. Southwest Airlines has a proud 52-year history of providing Safe and reliable operations, and the airline's operational performance was strong before and after the December 2022 disruption. In fact, Southwest appears poised to close out the first quarter of 2023 as #2 in the domestic rankings of ontime performance, with a flight completion factor in January and February of 97.7%, which is slightly better than our pre-pandemic average for the same months. This operational performance trend is a testament to the People of Southwest Airlines as we continue a dedicated focus on delivering Southwest Hospitality to our Customers.
