Tammy Romo, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, joined Southwest Airlines in 1991. As EVP and CFO, Tammy is responsible for the airline's overall Finance activities, including: Reporting, Accounting, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Corporate Planning and Financial Planning and Analysis. Tammy also oversees the Company's Supply Chain Management.

Tammy is a 30-year Southwest veteran who has held many positions at Southwest, including Senior Director Investor Relations, Controller, Treasurer, SVP Planning, before being promoted to her current role as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in September 2012. Prior to joining Southwest, she was an Audit Manager at Coopers and Lybrand in Dallas, Texas.

In 2014, Tammy was named as an Outstanding CFO for a Public Company by D CEO Magazine and was named CFO of the Year by the Dallas Business Journal.

In 2015, Tammy was appointed to the Board of Directors of Tenet Healthcare Corporation and also serves as Chair for the Audit Committee.  Tammy received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, where she is a member of the McCombs School Advisory Council and an Emeritus member of the Accounting Advisory Council.  She is also a graduate of Leadership Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas. Tammy and her husband, Adam, live in Dallas, Texas and have two grown children.
