Adam Decaire serves as Senior Vice President of Network Planning & Network Operations Control to harmonize efforts across Operational and Commercial groups in guiding all aspects around the carrier's domestic and international network. His departments maintain a tight feedback loop in developing capacity deployment and schedule creation, in creating and publishing of schedules, and in executing the plan through Network Operations Control. These efforts all are guided primarily by Safety and carry out compliance of FAA-mandated responsibilities, aligned with the business plan of Southwest Airlines.

Adam's groups also chart a long-term network strategy and vision for Southwest, including identifying new markets and geographies, and Teams charged with developing Airline partnerships through potential interline and codeshare agreements. Under his Leadership, Adam's Teams have brought forward innovative solutions to address complex industry challenges, leading the way on several of the Company's change initiatives brought forward to generate revenue, reduce costs, and maximize aircraft productivity. 

Adam has a passion for helping people, and he dedicates his time to mentoring and speaking opportunities.

Adam began his career at Southwest Airlines in 1996 as a Ramp Agent in Cleveland, Ohio. Adam spent over four years in various operational roles before transitioning to the Network Planning Department and was promoted in August 2018 to Vice President, Network Planning.

Adam graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Aviation Management. Adam is a licensed Private Pilot.  Adam and his wife, Colleen, have three beautiful children: Zachary, Ryan, and Zoey. They enjoy traveling together and have an active family life in North Texas.
