Southwest Airlines Partners with Kidd’s Kids to Send More Than 20 Kidd’s Kids and Their Families on Magical Getaway

Update

For the 17th year, Southwest Airlines and Kidd's Kids partnered to send more than 20 Kidd's Kids and their families on a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth outside of Orlando, Fla. Prior to the charter flight departure, Southwest hosted a celebratory event that included a joy-filled red carpet send-off and line of honor for each Kidd's Kid.

"Southwest is honored to support Kidd's Kids and the incredible work they do to create special memories for children and families who are facing life-altering conditions," said Brandy King, Managing Director Communications at Southwest Airlines. "We're grateful for the opportunity to play a small role as Kidd's Kids and their families create memories that they will always cherish."

Southwest donated the charter aircraft for the Kidd's Kids trip, and the Crew working the flight volunteered their time. Southwest flew seven Kidd's Kids and their families who live outside of North Texas to Orlando free of charge, and Southwest Employees at those airports hosted celebrations prior to their flights.

Leading up to the send-off event, Southwest supported Kidd's Kids by hosting a telethon, staffed by Southwest Employee volunteers, which raised more than $18,000.

Together, Southwest and Kidd's Kids have served more than 750 families. To learn more about Kidd's Kids, visit kiddskids.org.
