Airlines Launch Three-Day 'LUV SALE' for Spring and Summer Travel

 

 

Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) and wholly-owned subsidiary AirTran Airways spread the LUV today with a three-day LUV Sale with sweet one-way nonstop fares available for $49, $89, $119, or $149 to select destinations, based on length of travel. For travel up to 500 miles, fares are $49 one-way. For travel 501 to 1,000 miles, fares are $89 one-way. For travel 1,001 to 1,500 miles, fares are $119 one-way. For travel 1,501 miles or more, fares are $149.  These incredibly low fares are available for purchase on southwest.com and airtran.com today through Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, 11:59 p.m. for the respective time zone of the originating city.  Fares are available for travel every day of the week except for Sundays beginning April 3 through June 8, 2013 (blackout dates apply). SOUTHWEST AIRLINES FARE RULES
Fares are available only on www.southwest.com and can be purchased today through Feb. 7, 2013, at 11:59 p.m. for the respective time zone of the originating city.  Travel must take place between April 3, 2013, and June 8, 2013. Fares are available for travel every day except Sunday. Blackout dates systemwide include May 10, May 17, May 23 through 24, and May 27 through 28, 2013.  Additional blackout dates for travel to Boston, Providence, and Manchester include April 12 through 13, and April 15 through 16, 2013.  Seats are limited. Fares may vary by destinations, flight, and day of week and won't be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods. Connecting itinerates might be slightly higher due to government imposed taxes. Fares are available for one-way travel. Fares may be combined with other Southwest combinable fares, except Senior Fares. When combining fares, the most restrictive fare rules apply. Fares are nonrefundable but may be applied, if unused, toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines.  Fares are not available through the Group Desk.  Any change in the itinerary may result in an increase in fare. Standby travel requires an upgrade to the Anytime fare. Fares are subject to change until ticketed. Fares are valid on published, scheduled service only. Government-imposed taxes and fees are now included in the advertised fare. To comply with new government regulations, all airlines must include government-imposed taxes and fees in advertised air fares.

AIRTRAN AIRWAYS FARE RULES   
Fares are available only at airtran.com and can be purchased today through Feb. 7, 2013, at 11:59 p.m. for the respective time zone of the originating city.  Travel must take place between April 3, 2013, and June 8, 2013. Fares are available for travel every day except Sunday. Blackout dates systemwide include May 10, May 17, May 23 through 24, and May 27 through 28, 2013.  Blackout dates for travel to Boston include April 12 through 13, and April 15 through 16, 2013. Service to Flint, Michigan; Portland, Maine; Rochester, New York; and Charlotte, North Carolina will no longer be available after April 14, 2013. Displayed prices include all government taxes and fees. A first bag may be checked for a fee of $20 each way and a second bag may be checked for a fee of $35 each way. Reservations may be made via AirTran Airways' Telephone Reservations Center for a fee of $15. Reservations may also be changed via AirTran Airways' Telephone Reservations Center for a $15 fee plus any applicable change fees and fare differences. Fares may be combined with other AirTran Airways combinable fares.  If combining with other fares, the most restrictive fare's rules apply. When combining fares, all rules and restrictions apply.
