Hey Pilgrim ... Can We Offer You a Deal? Southwest Offers Fares Systemwide As Low As $39-$99 Each Way
Wondering what to put on your list of New Year's resolutions? Well, get out the calendar and start planning that getaway in the New Year. Today, Southwest is offering fares systemwide for as low as $39-$99 each way.
"Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) knows our Customers' discretionary dollars are being put toward holiday gifts right now," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's senior vice president of marketing. "These fares will help Customers get away from the stresses of the holidays and not breaking the bank."
All fares are now on sale through Dec. 12, 2002, for travel from Dec. 3, 2002 through the end of the published schedule (currently April 4, 2003). The fares require roundtrip purchase with an overnight stay (any night). Fares are for travel Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Fares slightly higher on other days. Tickets must be purchased at least 14 days before departure and within one day of making reservations. Fares do not include a federal segment tax of up to $3 per takeoff and landing. Fares also do not include airport-assessed passenger facility charges up to $18 roundtrip or government-imposed September 11th Security fees of up to $10 roundtrip.
Tickets are nonrefundable but (except for tickets purchased through our Group Tickets program) may be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines without a change fee. Seats are limited and may not be available on some flights that operate during peak or holiday travel times such as the December holidays, New Year's, and Spring Break. Blackout dates apply to all Florida markets March 13 through April 4, 2003. Fares are subject to change until ticketed, and any change in itinerary could result in an increase in the fare. Fares are not necessarily common rated in Houston, the Bay Area or the Los Angeles Basin area. Orange County's John Wayne Airport and Houston's Intercontinental Airport are not included in these sales. The offers apply only to published scheduled service.
