More Florida Flights Affected By Tropical Storm Ernesto

Based on the current forecasts for Tropical Storm Ernesto by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways has cancelled a total of 70 flights into and out of the following cities: Fort Myers, Fla., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., West Palm Beach, Fla., Miami, Fla., and Orlando, Fla., through today. Depending on the path of the storm, flights to Jacksonville, Fla., may be affected as well later today.

Passengers scheduled to fly into or out of these cities through August 31, 2006, are being offered the opportunity to alter their flight itineraries without change fees or fare adjustments. Every effort is being made by AirTran Airways to notify the affected passengers of these flight cancellations and to make alternate travel arrangements.

Passengers wishing to check on their flight status may do so by checking online at www.airtran.com on the home page under "Flight Status" or they may call the airline at 1-800-AIRTRAN.
