Southwest Airlines Helps Customers Ring in the New Year With Low Fares
Want to save more in 2004? Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) is offering Customers the chance to do just that by booking on southwest.com. The airline is offering savings for the New Year as low as $39 one-way for travel in early 2004.
"Southwest Airlines knows that the holidays are stressful," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's senior vice president marketing. "These low fares available on southwest.com can help Customers relax after the holidays by escaping to their favorite destination."
The fares range from $39 to $139 one-way and vary by destination and day of travel. Fares range from $39 to $99 one-way on off-peak days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday) and from $44 to $139 one-way on the busier peak days (Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday).
Examples of the great internet-only fares are:
Off-Peak Fares
- $39 one-way between Baltimore/Washington and Long Island/Islip and between Kansas City and St. Louis.
- $99 one-way between Las Vegas and Columbus, Ohio and between Detroit Metro and Phoenix.
Peak Fares
- $44 one-way between Dallas Love Field and Houston Hobby and between Tampa Bay and Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood.
- $139 one-way fares between Baltimore/Washington and Houston Hobby and between Kansas City and Los Angeles.
The internet-only fares are available for purchase Dec. 19, 2003, through Jan. 19, 2004, and are valid for travel from Jan. 5, 2004, through the end of the published schedule (currently May 8, 2004). Tickets must be purchased at least 14 days before departure. Seats are limited and will not be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods. Blackout dates apply to all Florida markets March 18, 2004, through April 11, 2004. Fares do not include up to a $3 segment fee per takeoff and landing. Fares do not include airport-assessed passenger facility charges of up to $9 one-way and federal September 11th Security Fees of up to $5 one-way per person. Tickets are nonrefundable but may be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are valid on published, scheduled service only. Fares may be purchased one-way and may be combined with other fares. When combining fares, the most restrictive conditions apply. Any change in itinerary could result in an increase in fare. Fares are not available through the Group Desk and are not necessarily common rated in Houston, the Bay Area, or the LA Basin. Orange County is not included.
